Alabama Coushatta Tribe of Texas
In the midst of the Big Thicket forest near Lake Livingston Texas lies Texas’ oldest Indian Reservation, home of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas. Today, some 550 tribal members live on the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation today, while there is still a large number that live in surrounding towns.

National Congress of American Indians
Official website of the Crow Tribe. The Crow, whose autonym is Apsáalooke, also spelled Absaroka, are Native Americans living primarily in southern Montana. Today, the Crow people have a federally recognized tribe, the Crow Tribe of Montana, with an Indian reservation located in the south-central part of the state. The National Congress of American Indians was founded in 1944 and is the oldest and largest tribal government organization in the United States. NCAI serves as a forum for consensus-based policy development among its membership of over 250 tribal governments from every region of the country.
NCAI’s mission is to inform the public and the federal government on tribal self-government, treaty rights, and a broad range of federal policy issues affecting tribal governments.
